P-Tori in Lahti Upgrades with Portier Parking Guidance to Enhance Driver Experience

P-Tori, the underground parking facility beneath Lahti city center owned and operated by Lahden Pysäköinti, has selected Portier Parking Guidance Solutions as part of a wider modernization effort. The goal is to strengthen the customer experience, streamline operations, and improve traffic flow throughout the facility.

Portier’s solution provides space-by-space monitoring using ultrasonic sensors (Portier Sonic), delivering real-time occupancy data. Bright LED indicators guide drivers directly to available bays, helping reduce congestion during peak periods and making navigation inside the car park noticeably easier.

The facility’s previous system was removed and replaced with Portier Sonic sensors and guidance displays. By utilizing existing infrastructure, Portier’s installation method shortened deployment time and lowered overall costs—resulting in meaningful savings for the site.

To support day-to-day management, Portier also delivers its analytics platform, Portier HOST, enabling Lahden Pysäköinti to track occupancy trends, optimize traffic patterns, and improve operational planning at P-Tori. This data-driven approach supports long-term development of the parking environment and aligns with Lahden Pysäköinti’s broader ambitions for modern, efficient urban infrastructure.

Installation was completed with minimal disruption to the facility’s daily operations. Early customer feedback has highlighted smoother traffic movement and easier recognition of available parking spaces.
